I have always been passionate about photography. When I first started at Calderdale College undertaking an Art & Design course, photography seemed to be the main choice in my projects.
One day my tutor asked me if I would like to change to a photography course for the following year and I decided to go for it! Now I can definitely say it was one of the best decisions I have made during my time here – I am really loving it!
My course is so beneficial. It has provided me with so much valuable work experience from the start to the end of the year, constantly working on different projects and with great opportunities of working with external businesses. I have really developed during my time at the college.
My best memory must be the Student Awards Evening when I got nominated for the most helpful student – the feeling when you realise that all the hard work you’ve put in has been appreciated was very rewarding.
I feel like I’ve become a much more professional individual thanks to Calderdale College. It has helped me understand the client and business aspects of my work. My plans for the nearest future are to work as a professional photographer, owning my own business!
